What is a SSD drive?

Solid State Drive ( SSD ) more expensive per Gigabyte but much faster and more reliable ( more info below )

What's the difference between Mechanical drive & SSD?

In a nutshell, Solid State Drives have no moving parts which allows the data to be transferred fasted and because it has no moving parts, there is less to break which as a result, makes them much for reliable.

SATA drives on the other hand use disks to read the data from. The disk have to spin up before info can be read from them which is where it can fail. This does not mean they are unreliable, just that they are not as reliable as The SSD Drives

Note on installation:

Laptops generally hidden behind a HDD panel held in by 1 or 2 screws

Here we need to remove the screws, remover the 1 screw holding the in hard drive
Remove from connector
Reverse the process with newly acquired HDD
Replace the panel and hardware installation complete
Start the machine and the installation should take over and complete.
If you receive the message ' no operating system found ' instructions will be included to change boot from UEFI to legacy boot and all should be good to go!
